3-days Bodywork Intensive with Alejandra Ruiz (Mexiko) & Almuth Kramer (Berlin)
2026, June 26-28
Aikido Dojo, Hasenheide 9, 10967 Berlin

COURSE OVERVIEW
Ancestral Cloth Bodywork from Mexico & Thailand, braided together with the depth of Thai Massage and the wisdom of Osteopathy.
This work is applicable for all bodies and especially beneficial for lower back conditions, pregnancy & postpartum care.
Discover the wisdom woven into two ancestral textiles — the Rebozo from Mexico and the Pha Khao Ma from Thailand.
In this experiential workshop, you’ll explore how these sacred fabrics have been used for centuries to support, stretch, wrap, rock, suspend, and realign the body. Find & feel out how traditional techniques derived from midwifery, pregnancy support and postnatal recovery give ease and gentle support to bodies of all genders and ages.
DISCOVER & EXPLORE
through guided practice and partner work:
– techniques for holding, suspending, rocking, and mobilizing the body using cloth
– how fabric enhances sensitivity, traction, nervous-system regulation, and energetic containment
– pregnancy- and postpartum-specific applications, offering safety, containment and relief
– cross-cultural parallels between traditional Midwifery, Thai Healing, Osteopathy, and Somatic Bodywork
– ways to weave the Rebozo and Pha Khao Ma into OsteoThai, Thai Massage, yoga, and therapeutic practices
– specific applications through the lense of anatomy and physiology and why they are also beneficial for everyone else who is neither pregnant nor birthed into motherhood
We will also move and meditate first thing in the morning to meet our own body before meeting others.

Your facilitation team for this 3-days Intensive: Ale Ruiz & Almuth Kramer
Ale Ruiz
Born and raised in Mexico, I have spent the past ten years sharing the Healing Arts across the globe in their many vibrant forms. My passion for Thai Massage, Osteopathy, and Aquatic Therapies has inspired me to bring elegance and fluidity to my treatments and teachings. I also incorporate indigenous wisdom and use traditional cloths like the Pha Khao Ma and the Mexican Rebozo to evoke the sensation of water on land, making the experience of touch more accessible and immersive. My greatest passion is to bring people together through movement, touch, and community connection, creating spaces for those eager to play, soar higher, and dive deeper.
Almuth Kramer
Her decades of study and experience are evident not only in her 1:1 sessions but even more so in her ability to teach this profound body of work to students of all levels. She is a certified osteopath with training in general, visceral, structural, and cranial osteopathy from the Swiss International College for Osteopathy. Her teachers include prominent figures in the fields of Thai Massage, Osteothai and Osteopathy – such as David Lutt, Krishnataki, Marie Colford and Philippe Druelle – whose influences have shaped her take on bodywork. Almuth’s deep understanding of the body’s systems and her mastery of hands-on techniques make her an extraordinary educator and practitioner.
